Unbeaten, Phil snares a Chess set for his offspring - hopefully future champs. Phil has had a very good week since after the first half of the Allegro at Gosford he has also unbeaten, 2 wins and 3 draws there tho - one of the wins against local FM John Curtis. Serious resistance against Phil was put up by Ric (a Rook ending) finally coming down to the single Rook pawn and then stalemate.	Noel cruises through to second place - even though he had an appointment elsewhere, he couldn't tear himself away since he was leading by a half-point and there was a pitched battle between Phil and Keith (Phil proffered an opening Gambit and was travelling well - Keith was the only battling with pitch; but sinking fast) Perhaps the book prize he got will give him a further boost.
